Newly commissioned officers in the Polish Army

On the 9 August 2019 in the Marshall Piłsudski Square in Warsaw 233 graduates of Military University of Technology were commissioned during the official ceremony. Rector-Commandant of Military University of Technology Brig Gen dr hab. inż. Tadeusz Szczurek, prof. of MUT admitted that these officers are competent and efficient people who are highly qualified soldiers and commanders. The Minister of National Defence Mariusz Błaszczak addressed his letter to the participants of the event and emphasized the role of Military University of Technology in creating and educating prospective officers.

Becoming a Polish officer means not only a matter of pride but also a great responsibility. The commissioning itself took place right after the resolution of the President of the Republic of Poland which was read aloud. The most gifted students were also awarded for the achievements during the studies. The whole event marks the end of the studies and military training. It is also a great celebration for the families, relatives, commanders and lecturers. Now the young officers will take up the positions in a variety of military units across Poland.
