Advanced Technologies in Borders Surveillance Module

Between 3rd and 7th May 2019 Mil­i­tary Uni­ver­si­ty of Tech­nol­o­gy orga­nized the Com­mon Mod­ule – Advanced Tech­nolo­gies in Bor­ders Sur­veil­lance. It was the sec­ond edi­tion of the train­ing at MUT for for­eign mil­i­tary stu­dents with­in the so-called Mil­i­tary Eras­mus.

Par­tic­i­pants from Italy, Roma­nia, the Czech Repub­lic and Poland were admit­ted as part of this course which is the result of col­lab­o­ra­tion between five MUT orga­ni­za­tion­al units: Fac­ul­ty of Civ­il Engi­neer­ing and Geo­desy, Fac­ul­ty of Cyber­net­ics, Fac­ul­ty of Elec­tron­ics, Fac­ul­ty of Advanced Tech­nolo­gies and Chem­istry and Insti­tute of Opto­elec­tron­ics.

The sub­ject area com­prised tech­niques of geospa­tial intel­li­gence, appli­ca­tion of vir­tu­al sim­u­la­tion for train­ing of bor­der guards, bio­met­ric sup­port, detec­tion of chem­i­cal, radi­a­tion and explo­sive haz­ards, detec­tion and inter­fer­ence of unau­tho­rized radio emis­sions and night vision and infrared tech­nolo­gies.
