24 representatives of Swedish National Defence University Board from Stockholm, Sweden visited the Military University of Technology on 10th October. It was a tremendous opportunity to initiate the possibility of future cooperation between the two military universities and to create the offer of exchange for MUT cadets and academic teachers abroad.
While staying at MUT, the Swedish university was represented by the Chairman of the Board Peter Egardt. There were also the Chancellor of the university, academic workers, soldiers and students included in the Board. The host of the whole event was the Vice-Rector for Military Affairs Col. Artur Król, DSc, Eng. and the visit was coordinated by the International Cooperation Department of MUT. During the meeting in the MUT Senate Hall there were also representatives of basic organizational units of our university.
In the Senate Hall Col. Artur Król, made the presentation concerning the history, structure functioning and benefits of MUT. It provided a favorable opportunity to ask questions by the guests and to present the advantages of their university. Consequently, a discussion began on the possibility of academic work between universities and the student exchange offer on the Erasmus+ basis.
During the visit of the Swedish delegation at MUT the guests managed to admire the selected laboratories. At the end of their stay at MUT the representatives of Swedish National Defence University also saw the Physical Education Centre sports facilities. The head of the centre Saturnin Przybylski, Ph.D. introduced to the guests the PE teaching curriculum and the requirements the students need to fulfil in order to be commissioned. The visit ended with the declaration of the Chairman of the Board Peter Egardt and the Vice-Rector for Military Affairs Col. Artur Król of the necessity to begin cooperation on an scientific and educational level between the universities.
