The Swedish National Defence University delegation at MUT

24 rep­re­sen­ta­tives of Swedish Nation­al Defence Uni­ver­si­ty Board from Stock­holm, Swe­den vis­it­ed the Mil­i­tary Uni­ver­si­ty of Tech­nol­o­gy on 10th Octo­ber. It was a tremen­dous oppor­tu­ni­ty to ini­ti­ate the pos­si­bil­i­ty of future coop­er­a­tion between the two mil­i­tary uni­ver­si­ties and to cre­ate the offer of exchange for MUT cadets and aca­d­e­m­ic teach­ers abroad.

While stay­ing at MUT, the Swedish uni­ver­si­ty was rep­re­sent­ed by the Chair­man of the Board Peter Egardt. There were also the Chan­cel­lor of the uni­ver­si­ty, aca­d­e­m­ic work­ers, sol­diers and stu­dents includ­ed in the Board. The host of the whole event was the Vice-Rec­tor for Mil­i­tary Affairs Col. Artur Król, DSc, Eng. and the vis­it was coor­di­nat­ed by the Inter­na­tion­al Coop­er­a­tion Depart­ment of MUT. Dur­ing the meet­ing in the MUT Sen­ate Hall there were also rep­re­sen­ta­tives of basic orga­ni­za­tion­al units of our uni­ver­si­ty.

In the Sen­ate Hall Col. Artur Król, made the pre­sen­ta­tion con­cern­ing the his­to­ry, struc­ture func­tion­ing and ben­e­fits of MUT. It pro­vid­ed a favor­able oppor­tu­ni­ty to ask ques­tions by the guests and to present the advan­tages of their uni­ver­si­ty. Con­se­quent­ly, a dis­cus­sion began on the pos­si­bil­i­ty of aca­d­e­m­ic work between uni­ver­si­ties and the stu­dent exchange offer on the Eras­mus+ basis.

Dur­ing the vis­it of the Swedish del­e­ga­tion at MUT the guests man­aged to admire the select­ed lab­o­ra­to­ries. At the end of their stay at MUT the rep­re­sen­ta­tives of Swedish Nation­al Defence Uni­ver­si­ty also saw the Phys­i­cal Edu­ca­tion Cen­tre sports facil­i­ties. The head of the cen­tre Sat­urnin Przy­byl­s­ki, Ph.D. intro­duced to the guests the PE teach­ing cur­ricu­lum and the require­ments the stu­dents need to ful­fil in order to be com­mis­sioned. The vis­it end­ed with the dec­la­ra­tion of the Chair­man of the Board Peter Egardt and the Vice-Rec­tor for Mil­i­tary Affairs Col. Artur Król of the neces­si­ty to begin coop­er­a­tion on an sci­en­tif­ic and edu­ca­tion­al lev­el between the uni­ver­si­ties.
